Gore has now produced a joint sealant with better structure. This also becomes evident in its significantly improved tensile strength (which is 550 newtons in the case of a 7 mm joint sealant). This product enhancement has dramatically increased sealing reliability, particularly in long-term operation – which also significantly helps to reduce plant downtime caused by leakage.
The gasket parameters which have been optimised and established based on the newly developed gasket testing techniques as per European sta-ndard EN 13555 also reveal the exceptional sealing reliability of the Joint Sealant DF. One of the distinguishing features of the joint sealant made of pure ePTFE continues to be its outstanding thermal and chemical resistance.
