Ifat again fully booked

Ifat in Munich is a very impressive and long-running success story: it started out back in 1966, under the name of “International Trade Fair for Sewage Technology”, as a presentation platform for the industry. At that time the event was still relatively modest in scale. Today, 50 years later, Ifat has grown tremendously in all sections – including the recently added sections on water supply, recycling and technology for municipal services. The ongoing high level of demand from companies wishing to exhibit at this exhibition is impressive confirmation of the excellent status of the sector’s No. 1 global innovations platform and trade fair for environmental technology. At the coming event, which takes place between May 30 and June 3 at the Messe München exhibition centre, Ifat will be occupying a total of 230,000 m2 of exhibition space with over 3000 exhibitors. More than 135,000 visitors from all over the world are expected to attend the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Mate-rials Management. A variety of products, technologies and solutions shown in Munich are also relevant for the process industry. You can find some of them in our special on page 8.
After three very eventful days, Powtech 2016, the leading fair for processing, analysis and handling of powder and bulk solids, drew to a close on April 21, 2016. Despite a quiet start on the first day, the fair organisers recorded roughly 7 % more visitors than at the previous edition. Powtech once again underlined its role as the key gathering place for the global process and bulk solids community. Around 16,000 trade visitors took the opportunity to gather information about the showcased innovations for entirely new and more efficient production processes. You can find some of these products on page 51.
