A Coriolis mass flow meter uses the inertia effect of a mass inside a rotating system, also known as Coriolis force. For this purpose, two curved measuring tubes are oscillating sinusoidally. A fluid flowing through these tubes will shift the phase of the oscillations proportionally to its mass flow. By installing sensors at each end of the curved tubes, these phase shifts can be translated into the flowing mass.
