The System Theisen hot gas filter is constructed in an gastight design and consists of
- a cylindrical or rectangular housing which is separated into filterclusters by diving walls, with integrated dust collecting bunker
- suspended filter elements made of temperature-resistant sintered ceramic or silicate fibre which can be easily fitted and removed from the filter head accessible via the clean gas collector
- the clean gas ring duct
- the back-pulse ring duct
To make sure that the gas temperature does not drop below its dewpoint temperature the housing is sufficiently insulated and supplied with an external heating system.
By using inert gas or compressed clean gas as pulse gas it is practicable to filter combustible gases and to remove pyrophorous dusts.
