SparkSafe from Kersting, a grounding clamp for bins, drums and vessels, is made from a special polymer with sufficient conductivity for a safe discharge of electrostatic charges. At the same time the resistance is too high for powerful discharge sparks representing potential ignitions sources. Sharp metal teeths can „bite“ through isolating layers of laquers, dirt, grease or rust. With the spiral cable length of 2,5 or 5 m and the wide opening of 35 mm a wide range of containers can be grounded safely and with a very limited risk of sudden discharge sparks. The SparkSafe clamp can be used in Atex areas 0, 1, 2 as well as in 20, 21 and 22.
