Pneumatic dense phase conveying by Ammag features a low air consumption and low conveying rates of 0.5 to 3 m/s over the whole conveying distance. Therefore, conveying is gentle on the product and causes little wear on the pipeline, thus minimising maintenance. Dense phase conveying is effected semi-continuous. The transmitting vessel is filled with the product and then closed. Compressed air is applied, pushing the product through the conveyor pipe. At the end of conveying the transmitting vessel is ventilated to be filled again afterwards. This technology permits the implementation of conveying systems that are very flexible and well adapted to the relevant product and the structural conditions. Conveying distances of more than 1000 m in length are possible.
