The Masterflex Templine heated hose system features several heating conductors which spiral around the medium-carrying hose and are fixed in a stable yarn braiding. As a result, a consistent „heat envelop“ is created around the medium-carrying hose during operation. The temperature differences along the entire hose are extremely slight. Hot spots, which are particularly dangerous in areas subject to explosion hazards, do not occur with these heated hose systems.
Furthermore, the comprehensive heating conductor configuration of the medium-carrying hose demonstrably saves up to 30 % energy as compared with conventional heated hose constructions. The temperature-resistant fabric on the medium-carrying hose in which the heating conductors are incorporated like coil springs makes the templine hoses very flexible. The concentric construction allows hoses with nominal diameters of 4 to 25 mm to bend more than 1 million times in all directions.
