With the vacorex-MR Maag Pump Systems Textron has developed a discharge pump, which is especially suitable to expand and increase the capacity of an existing polymer plant.
The compact construction of the vacorex-MR allows an easy fit of the next larger pump size into the space of the former vacorex-pump Ill/IV/V generation. The main dimensions of both designs are the same. This means, inlet- and outlet-flange dimension and height of the pump are identical. Only minor adjustments are necessary, like positioning of the drive unit or heating connections.
Depending on the rest of the components of the plant the installation of a vacorex-MR discharge pump can increase the plant capacity by 10 up to 45 %.
