A fibre gasket material is closing the traditional gap between the major properties of purely elastomer gaskets and fibre gaskets. The gasket material combines adaptability that has not been achieved before with maximum sealing performance and me-chanical stability. Novapress 850, also known in the past under the name Novaform 2300, has already proved to be a good so- lution for many different critical applications. It is eminently suitable for transmissions and a broad range of other equipment, particularly in the case of wide bolt spacing and weak me- chanical structures, because processing is pos-sible even when low surface pressure is applied. It complies with EC 1935/2004 and FDA specifications, so that it can be used for food applications. It is qualified for gas applications thanks to the DVGW and VP 401 approvals that have been obtained.
