“Hosokawa Alpine is a company that, ever since the very first event in 1977, has actively contributed to making Powtech known to a broad audience throughout German industry and increasingly also in the rest of Europe. By making the trip to Nuremberg, we have an ideal opportunity to convince scientists and decision-makers alike of the benefits of innovations in the field of particle technology. The positive underlying trend has been further enhanced by the inclusion of pharmaceutical technologies, so that meanwhile Powtech is almost more important to us than the Frankfurt Achema. What ultimately speaks in Achema’s favour, of course, is its stronger international orientation.
We expect the 2007 fair to be attended by more visitors from Europe – both Southern and Eastern. We also anticipate a clear concentration on quality and competence as well as on the entry of nanotechnology into production processes”.
“Powtech today is the number one trade fair for the bulk materials industry. Following a period of general stagnation, I predict a renewed rise in visitor numbers at the 2007 event. Many projects in the capital goods sector that have been postponed in the last few years owing to the weakness of the economy are now in the process of being reactivated. This trend was already in evidence in 2006 and we believe it will continue in 2007.
One of the key technology trends for the future will in our opinion be closed systems with high containment for food applications. Finding ways to avoid cross-contamination will be another significant issue in view of the rapid advance of food allergies. Systems used in the food industry nowadays have to comply increasingly with regulations for pharmaceutical production”.
