Cooper Crouse-Hinds has optimised its eXLink connector series for hazardous areas. The improvements prevents operating errors and makes the handling more easy, even under extreme conditions. The connectors, plugs, recep-tacles, inlets and elbows of the series eXLink are designed in the type of protection Ex d. They are extremely small and can be used in the instrumentation technology for all active devices and sensors. In addition to this, it is also possible to connect other electrical apparatus with a current consumption up to 10 A.
The contact pins feature the time-tested Ceag contacts made of specially treated copper-beryllium tape. They are punched out like a jalousie and have a large number of contact points that guarantee a continuous and faultless electrical contact. A coupling ring integrated in the plug enclosure guarantees the mechanical strength of the connection.
