Installation, maintenance and signal processing with flow sensor devices can be expensive, especially when non-linear differential pressure devices are selected. Disruptions of facility operations for system depres-surization and drain-down can add to this expense. Data Industrial’s flow monitoring systems address these problems. Sensors are available for pipe sizes 1 through 36“, with pressure ratings up to 30 bar and 140 °C. Hot-tap models permit installation or service with piping fully pressurized and active, minimizing diruption of the facility. The sensor’s linear electronic pulse output eliminates expensive pressure transmitters and sqare root extractors. Analog and pulse output signals „float“, eliminating any potential ground loop problems, or in case of the AC8, an „input wiring fault“ error message.
