The Gemü cPos 1436 controller can be used for pneumatic process valves. The modular device can be directly mounted to linear and quarter turn actuators via various mounting kits or, in a novel way can be separately installed at a certain distance from the process valve. Two versions are available; positioner and process controller with position control, which can be used for travel control or PLC independent process control with a total error of less than 1 %. The cPos 1436 has an infrared interface enabling remote setting/scanning during operation in addition to direct manual programming which is of great advantage when the device is installed in places with difficult access. The RS232 serial interface allows connection to a PC without the need for special software. Or the controller can be integrated into a Profibus DP system via an optional field bus interface and further field bus versions are designed and can be offered upon request.
