Rounding off the valve range for sterile processes, the Luxemburg-based KSB subsidiary Sisto Armaturen S.A. presents its B series for the first time. When developing this valve series, top priority was placed on the compatibility of the diaphragms with those offered by other manufacturers in the market. This means that whatever standard is required in plant machinery designed to accommodate other makes, this series can meet it one-to-one.
The bonnet assemblies can be easily dismantled when replacing diaphragms in complex system components. The bodies, bonnets and compressors are made of high quality 1.4435 (316L) stainless steel. Their surfaces are electropolished and comply with the strictest international requirements. Although the design meets standard market requirements, it was possible to build a pneumatic actuator which is compact and light at the same time.
The actuators and handwheels are made of glass fibre reinforced plastic. Double-acting cup seals ensure joltfree movements and the reduction of friction losses inside the pneumatic actuators.
