Wika has enabled the clean, hygienic, dead-space free measurement of pressure and temperature, with long-term stability, with the model 983.xx diaphragm in-line seal. With its 3A approval it is equally suited to applications in the food and beverage industry as it is for biochemical, pharmaceutical or active ingredient manufacturing.
Through the combination of diaphragm in-line seal and resistance thermometer, pressure and temperature can be measured at one common point in the pipeline without any restriction in its diameter. Wika diaphragm in-line seals are directly integrated into the pipeline and, as a result of their circular cylindrical design, they are selfdraining in all mounting positions. In conjunction with the pressure gauge they ensure both dead-space free as well as crevice-free pressure measurement. The temperature sensor is fixed to the inner wall of the diaphragm inline seal, whereby fast, residue-free cleaning of the measuring point is guaranteed. By combining measurement parameters, complexity and costs are reduced. All can be delivered in the usual process connections from the industry branches served, such as clamps to DIN 32676, threaded connections to DIN 11 851 or Neumo BioConnect.
