Merck has upgraded its Spectroquant Photometer Nova. 20 parameters have been added so that it can detect some 130 different types of contaminants. The analyzer has been continuously adapted to the requirements of customers. The test kits even exceed the stringent requirements for drinking water testing, e.g. in parameters such as arsenic, lead and cadmium. Due to the strong demand for the photometer, it can already be operated in 16 languages, including Russian, Indonesian and Turkish. The use of barcodes means that test kits cannot be mixed up: on inserting the cuvette, the photometer reads the barcode automatically. Thus, the instrument recognizes the path length of the cuvette and displays the result practically immediately. The integrated memory can cope with up to 1,000 sets of data, thus facilitating documentation. All results generated can be easily transferred to a PC and printer via an RS232 interface.
