WTA BSGVs combine helpful features with the latest technologies for enhancing safety in demanding applications. Several key features and advantages are outlined below.
The two-piece rising design of the stem effectively isolates the stem’s rotational movement and shields the internals from torque effects. The roll formed thread resists damage from dirt, dust, rust and abrasion. An unambiguous, clearly visible position indicator promotes safety by making it easy to determine the valve position.
The full size safety gland packing is made of pure graphite and can optionally be supplied in PTFE. It acts as a safety backup in case of emergency or failure.
The metal back seat with a stroke limiter in the open position and a bellows anti-vibration device is metal-to-metal for continuous operation and protects the bellows against over-compression and vibration.
The multiple-walled, fully flushed, stainless steel bellows are secured against torsion and designed for 10,000 cycles. They are fully welded with the valve body and bonnet. The flushed system keeps the bellows clean and prevents particles from settling into the fins.
The valve uses a stainless steel, cam-profiled bonnet gasket coated with pure graphite, which is mounted in tongue-and-groove bonnet flanges. This design focuses the force of the nuts and bolts on a smaller area so that the gasket can neither wear out nor become dislodged due to temperature swings. The cam profile works as a multiple seal to achieve leak-tightness in every situation.
The surfaces of the conical plug and body seat are hard-faced or stellited. The conical geometry reduces the possibility of trapped sediments while the hard surfaces assure high performance without leakage over a long product life.
