The compact EmuCut ultrafiltration plant is used to separate emulsions. Fitted with tube or hollow fibre membrane modules for the particular application and conditions, these plants are used, for example, to reduce the amount of oil in the bath of cleaning machines. They also reduce the amount of waste emulsion needing disposal.
The membrane area can, at any time, be easily increased in size to adjust to the growing requirements of the business. The membrane plant EmuCut automatically separates the emulsion supplied to it. Depending on the working conditions and the type of oil in the emulsion, oil contents in the concentrate as high as 40 % can be achieved. This means, starting with 1 % oil in water emulsion, a concentration factor of 1 : 40 is possible. The dimensions of these compact membrane plants are approximately 800 x 1200 x 1300 mm.
