Orbisphere’s family of intrinsically safe instruments measures oxygen (O2), hydrogen (H2), and ozone (O3) in areas where hazardous and flammable conditions may be continuously present (Zone 0). When coupled with a choice of membrane covered electrochemical sensors, the instruments are suitable for sampling dissolved concentrations from trace ppb to super-saturation, and gaseous concentration from ppb to percent (%) levels without interference from pressure, flow, moisture, or other gases. The flexible calibration can be performed in air, liquid, or a gas standard, with negligible drift.
The sensors can be constructed from a variety of chemically resistant materials and therefore may be used to measure in aqueous and non-aqueous samples such as organics, olefins, monomers, aromatics, specialty chemicals, water, and other liquids and gases.
All portable or process instruments comply with the European community regulation 94/9/EC, with Atex II 1 G EEx ia IIC T6, NFPA Class 1 Div. 1 Groups A, B.
