The alphaJET C inkjet printer from KBA-Metronic is based on the continuous-inkjet principle for freely programmable non-contact marking. When compared with the competition, the alphaJET C stands out for the low cost of consumables thanks to the integrated solvent recovery process. The alphaJET C is a real all-rounder which operates at a uniformly high level of reliability and precision, from standard applications through to complex applications in which the device is networked with a PC, barcode reader, image detection system or xy-axes system. Be it batch numbers, best before dates, logos, barcodes, production data, Data Matrix Code or contents information extending over several lines, high requirements are fulfilled with regard to resolution and font quality. With the 48-dot matrix, the print head of the alphaJET C writes up to eight lines. In addition, the text, up to eight characters in length, can also be applied in a 90 degree rotated position. If, for design reasons or due to other aspects of marketing strategy, the data matrix code needs to be invisible, then a special UV tint can be used.
