“What about people?”

Perspectives 2018 at the Frankfurt Achema
“What about people?”

“What about people?”
“What about people?” is the topic of this year’s Perspectives industry event at Achema Picture: Infraserv Höchst
At the upcoming Achema, Infraserv will host the sixth instalment of “Perspectives”, an event that has become a permanent fixture in the yearly calendar of Germany’s chemical and pharmaceutical industries. And what better venue could there be in 2018 than the industry’s leading trade fair? On 13 June 2018, the focus will be on the human factor in the wake of the digital revolution.

The event targets industry professionals, managers and entrepreneurs in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This year, Perspectives will focus on digitalisation. The digital (r)evolution is making markets and businesses more effective and transforming the way we live and work. Yet as we watch these radical technological changes unfold, we run the risk of ignoring their impact on people. That’s why the topic of Perspectives 2018 on June 13 will be “What about people?”.

The event, which will be held in the Portalhaus at Messe Frankfurt, has once again attracted high-profile speakers who will talk about their experiences with digitalisation and the success of agile management and organisational models. Philosopher and author Richard David Precht, entrepreneur Michael Heraeus and Francesco Grioli, Member of the Executive Council of the IG BCE trade union of chemical industry workers, will tackle core questions in their keynote addresses. How is digitalisation changing society and should we revisit our current societal model? What responsibilities do companies have as members of society? What big opportunities and challenges await us in the future? Perspectives 2018 will also feature brief but powerful presentations from industry players such as Oliver Coenenberg, Director of Human Resources at Sanofi, and Henrik Hahn, Chief Digital Officer at Evonik, as well as a panel discussion with all the speakers.

Please register here: www.infraserv.com/perspectives. Tickets for the event are limited and a registration is required. The successful registration will be confirmed to you by Infraserv Höchst.

In addition, Perspectives is accompanied by a digital magazine packed with exciting content and in-depth coverage of key issues, all available at http://perspectives.infraserv.com. There is also a new issue of the print magazine perspectives to be found. It was published in the run-up to the event and it, too, addresses the question „What about people?“.

Ask the expert:   Frank Unger

At the upcoming Achema, Infraserv Höchst will not only stage the industry event “Perspectives” on 13 June 2018, but will also introduce the new subsidiary Infraserv Höchst Prozesstechnik GmbH, which was founded in January. We asked CEO Frank Unger which services the company offers.

Mr. Unger, could you give us a brief introduction to the new Infraserv Höchst Prozesstechnik GmbH business unit?

Unger: We offer two categories of services: on the one hand, consulting services aimed at increasing the long-term availability of sophisticated process equipment and on the other, the technical services needed to
put its recommendations into action.

And what is your verdict after the first few months?

Unger: Interest in our new portfolio has been strong. I’ve been very pleased with the market’s response in the first few months. Our interdisciplinary team, which provides both standalone services and integrated service packages, can unleash enormous synergies for clients.

Where does the initial focus lie?

Unger: We’re focusing initially on the service lines: Asset Management & Engineering, Reliability Management, Pumps & Drives and Process Analysis Systems.

What is particularly important here?

Unger: These are demanding services that require special expertise. They also play an outsize role in driving manufacturers’ success in the marketplace. Industrial locations with reliable, high-quality access to these services – such as Industriepark Höchst – are more attractive places to do business.

So was the founding of the new Infraserv Höchst subsidiary also a strategic decision?

Unger: Yes. That’s one big reason why Infraserv Höchst set up the new subsidiary: it adds another key selling point in the competitive global market for chemical and pharmaceutical parks.

Are your activities restricted to Industriepark Höchst?

Unger: No. Like other Infraserv Höchst units that operate nationwide, Infraserv Höchst Prozesstechnik will be offering its services outside Industriepark Höchst as well. We’ll begin by concentrating on the Rhine-Main Region though.
