Weiss Pharmatechnik developed the Wibobarrier Lab Containment, a safety workstation with integrated laboratory device, in cooperation with the Excellence United partner Glatt. The intelligent technology of the safety workstation makes it possible to perform, with only one single Wibobarrier system several laboratory processes one after another, such as weighing, granulation, sifting, drying, mixing, pelletising and coating. Each laboratory process unit or combination of two process units by Glatt takes place on a mobile worktable, which can be moved flexibly into the Wibobarrier clean room area. To keep the cleaning effort as low as possible, control of the process device takes place outside the system. Wibobarrier systems can be variably extended according to the OEB level and application and offer a multitude of combinations and configuration options. For example, two systems can be used simultaneously to further increase process efficiency.
