Inosim introduced its latest process simulation software Inosim 12 that is optionally programmable with Visual Basic and brings a multitude of innovations. The bottleneck analysis of chemical and pharmaceutical factories addresses not only the production itself but also supply and delivery chains. Inosim 12 integrates support for packaged goods processes at the recipe level. Innovative tools for process development and production planning enable the development of more efficient process designs and production schedules, and new interfaces integrate the simulation software with multi-tool chains, so that Excel or Matlab data as well as thermodynamical databases from external providers can be integrated. Furthermore, Inosim 12 will allow the user to combine strategic planning with detailed simulations at the unit level via the connection of unit simulators made by the French company Prosim.
