Ofru Recycling launches the ACS-3000, a distillation plant with which a separation of over 99 % purity can be achieved on an industrial scale. The system separates valuable solvents from impurities such as water or other liquid chemicals in a highly-automated 24-h-operation. A packed column with automatic reflux is used to increase the separation efficiency. To process sensitive chemicals carefully, distillation is carried out under vacuum. Depending on the substances to be separated, the plant allows to recover up to 10 t/d of liquid recyclable materials. The benefit of the plant is that the operator is able to carry out very economical treatment on his own premises, thereby saving high disposal and transport cost. An investment of this kind is said to have an amortisation period of less than twelve months.
