The Optima packaging group GmbH (Germany) has completed the fiscal year 2014 with a growth in performance of around 10 %. Consolidated turnover for the company is over 330 million Euro showing positive development during over the previous year and which is expected to continue smoothly.
Over 85 % of the packaging machines of this company are sold, as in the previous year, abroad. The company employs 1,900 people worldwide, 1,400 of which work in Schwäbisch Hall. In comparison with the previous year, the number of employees worldwide rose by almost 6 %. Today some 300 persons work at 13 international locations.
With its four business divisions Pharma, Consumer, Nonwovens and Lifescience, Optima offers branch solutions in packaging and processing fields. “There are considerably larger mechanical engineering companies but only a few of these can offer a comparable spectrum of individual technological solutions“, according to Hans Bühler, Executive Director of Optima. He recognises the essential strengths which can lead the company to expect further positive business development also for the coming years. “Our capacity for 2015 confirms the ongoing growth trend. In particular in the USA we expect further revitalisation on the grounds of economic recovery”.
