The latest generation of the Power Hub range from Pepperl+Fuchs represents one of the most compact fieldbus power supply solutions on the market. They not only help to considerably reduce the number of control cabinets needed. Due to their reduced heat dissipation they also do not require any active air conditioning. This contributes to lower overall energy consumption while increasing the availability of the system.
Pepperl+Fuchs also offers a Profinet gateway which supports Profinet line redundancy and S2 system redundancy. However, a Profibus DP gateway will still be offered as part of the line. The manufacturer also guarantees compatibility with its existing segment couplers 2 and 3.
The Power Hub supports remote configuration and diagnosis via a Device Type Manager or web server. In combination with an Advanced Diagnostic Module it is also possible to integrate it into a solution for continuous monitoring of the physical fieldbus layer. In combination with the High-Power Trunk it is possible to install intrinsically safe power supply of the fieldbus instruments according to IEC 60079-11 for a large amount of devices even if they need to be connected over long distances.
